Ring is hidden in base |

This piece can stand alone (as shown) or fits easily on tower |
Pros:
Good price considering the piece count
Good source of dark gray pieces
Good play features
Great minifigures (Radagast, Necromancer and sculpture are exclusive to this set)
Cons:
Orcs without hair pieces (again)
The cage with the skeleton reminded me of LEGO Dynamic Duo Funhouse Escape 6857. Dol Guldur has the skeleton in the cage in the top right corner of the set while the Funhouse set has Robin hanging from a rope in the top right. In the photo's below I added minifigures and the Batmobile that are NOT included with the Dol Guldur set.
It made be realize just how easily the Dol Guldur set can be modified to fit different themes. It could easily be used as a hideout for Poison Ivy if lots of plants are added to the set.
